Direct instruction refers to the use of direct, explicit teaching methods, usually used to teach specific skills. This is a method of teacher guidance, meaning that the teacher stands in front of the classroom and presents the information. It may be a lesson where the teacher gives a very clear overview of the order of all the planets in the solar system, or it may be a simple explanation and some examples of the double FF-Ll-SS-ZZ spelling rule. For example, when students learn English, it is most suitable for the direct instruction method to memorize the 26 English letters first. The direct instruction method can make students more intuitive, clearer, and more direct to remember knowledge points. 

The topic in our group is ”Food handling and preparation”. In the first part: Comprehend basic food handing and simple preparation techniques, the teacher can make a list of the ingredients for the food. For example, when we choose to make seafood, all we need to do is to choose a condiment like black pepper, sea salt, and a small piece of butter to make the seafood taste very delicious and maintain the original flavor. Different ingredients only need to be cooked in a very simple way to release the flavor of the ingredients themselves. When you don’t need any seasonings to cook at home, you can always choose the ingredients you need. Although cooking is a personal affair, the general direction is there. The teacher can intuitively tell the students what seasonings make the food taste good, and when the students make the wrong combination, the teacher can patiently give the correct way.
